This role will be responsible for leading financial insight and analysis to guide business strategy, enhance profitability, and drive long-term financial performance. The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), will collaborate with cross-functional leadership to develop financial strategies, manage performance, and oversee forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes at a strategic level. The Director will also influence senior leadership decisions and provide actionable financial insights to ensure the company meets its long-term financial and strategic objectives. Initially, the Director will also be hands-on in building processes and performing detailed financial work.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the development and execution of the company's financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting strategy.
- Provide strategic financial leadership, guiding senior leadership on key business decisions and shaping financial and operational strategies that support the company’s long-term growth objectives.
- Oversee the annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and strategic planning processes, working closely with the Business Units and Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- Responsible for consolidating and reporting the monthly management reporting package, which explains the month’s performance and is reported to the ELT and Board of Directors.
- Assist the CFO in modeling and analyzing new initiatives, scenario plans, long-range forecasts, M&A activity, etc.
- Manage the company’s capital budgeting process, including review of capital expenditure requests for compliance with established policies and procedures, and reporting on the status of project approvals and capital expenditures.
- Establish and oversee proper controls and compliance processes for businesses and functions, ensuring reporting is completed on time, accurately, and in accordance with internal/external guidelines and policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a four-year college or university or equivalent professional knowledge and/or work experience.
- MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
- Certifications: CPA, CFA, or other advanced financial certifications (e.g., CMA) would be highly regarded, along with advanced strategic leadership training.
- At least 10 years of financial analysis, strategic planning, and business partnership experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of influencing senior leadership teams, driving financial strategy, and overseeing complex financial processes.
- Experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
- Hands-on experience with financial analysis, forecasting, financial reporting, and decision support at a strategic level.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of financial strategy, including capital allocation, financial risk management, and optimizing profitability.
- Proven ability to lead through influence, working with senior leaders to shape business and financial strategy.
- Expertise in financial forecasting, financial modeling, and scenario planning for long-term business success.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, including the board and executive leadership.
