As a Due Diligence & Compliance Intern, you will support the Compliance and National Accounts teams by helping ensure business operations align with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of compliance reviews and due diligence activities.
- Update and organize standard operating procedures and compliance documentation.
- Prepare reports and summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Gather, review, and organize supporting documentation.
- Help ensure audit materials are complete and accurate.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance policies.
- Help ensure company practices align with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.
- Conduct public record and media searches.
- Research companies, individuals, and business entities.
- Analyze background information and compile findings into actionable reports.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Junior standing at the time of application.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week at our Oak Brook, Illinois corporate headquarters.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
- Real-world experience in corporate compliance, due diligence, and governance.
- Exposure to regulatory requirements and business risk assessment processes.
- Enhanced analytical, research, and reporting skills.
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business reporting tools.
