The Role
Impact Firm is responding to an RFP for social media management with a Chicago cultural district and needs a bilingual content creator to join our team.
The project: Camino Clark — a vibrant Mexican heritage corridor in Rogers Park
What we need: Content creation, community management, business storytelling (Spanish/English) Timeline: Contract starts June 8, 2026 (if awarded)

What You’ll Do
- Manage and maintain content calendars across multiple client accounts
- Schedule social media posts using tools like Hootsuite, Later, Buffer, or Meta Business Suite
- Coordinate content creation workflows — gather assets, track approvals, ensure deadlines are met
- Draft social media captions, email copy, and basic marketing content for review by strategists
- Monitor social media accounts for engagement, comments, and messages; flag items that need attention
- Pull and organize performance data from social platforms, Google Analytics, and email marketing tools
- Assist with campaign launches — uploading assets, scheduling sends, QA-ing links and tracking
- Maintain organized files, folders, and project trackers for client accounts
- Support event marketing efforts including promotion, day-of social coverage, and post-event recaps
- Research trends, hashtags, and content ideas relevant to client industries
What We’re Looking For
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail (required — this role lives and dies by follow-through)
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) and how businesses use them
- Basic experience with social media scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Later, Buffer, or similar)
- Comfortable with Canva or similar design tools for light content creation
- Good writing skills — you’ll be drafting captions and copy that get refined by the team
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines without things slipping
- Self-directed — you can take a task list and execute without needing constant direction
- Familiarity with Detroit’s small business community is a plus
Nice to Have
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
- Basic understanding of analytics and performance metrics
- Experience supporting marketing for small businesses, nonprofits, or community organizations
- Photography or video skills for content capture
- Experience with project management tools (ClickUp, Asana, Trello)
