1099 Independent Contractor | Oahu, HI & Maui, HI | Flexible, Field-Based Role

For over 30 years, The IMA Group has partnered with individuals, employers, carriers, and government agencies to improve health and disability outcomes nationwide. We're expanding our presence in Hawaii and looking for experienced RN Case Managers to bring their clinical expertise to workers' compensation cases on a flexible, 1099 independent contractor basis.

• No bedside care, weekends, or on-call responsibilities

• Field-based role with local travel and remote documentation

• Established support team with steady referral volume

• Flexible scheduling and caseload

As a Field Nurse Case Manager, you'll coordinate medical care for injured workers and serve as a key liaison between healthcare providers, employers, adjusters, and attorneys.

• Coordinate and oversee medical treatment plans

• Attend medical appointments and evaluate treatment progression

• Communicate with providers, employers, attorneys, and insurance carriers

• Assess medical necessity and appropriateness of care

• Prepare timely, detailed case management reports

• Support return-to-work and transitional duty planning

• Coordinate Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) and job site evaluations

• Active Hawaii RN license

• 3 years of Workers' Compensation Field Case Management experience

• Ability to work independently with a flexible caseload

• Reliable transportation for local travel on Oahu and/or Maui

• Malpractice insurance, or the ability to obtain it

• CCM, CRRN, or similar certification a plus
