What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Recruiter Specialist IMA position at The IMA Group?
The Patient Recruiter Specialist is responsible for recruiting patients for all studies under the direction of the Clinical Operations Manager, Principal Investigator, and Medical Director. The Patient Recruiter Specialist administers prescreening surveys (i.e. phone screens) to interested patients to identify eligible patients and schedule screening visits for currently enrolling studies and upcoming studies. Patient recruiter builds and develops the site?s database by identifying and implementing new methods for patient recruitment, contacting all new potential patients, and maintaining contact with all patients in the database.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
1) Phone screening
2) Reviewing Patient charts
3) Design and Create general marketing materials for the site
4) Maintaining all records associated with recruitment for all clinical research studies:
A. Submission of weekly pre-screening/tracking logs as required per study to the CRO/Sponsor
B. Entry and Maintenance of referrals in the site database
C. Maintenance of Site tracking log of each call's source of referral (from advertising (i.e. Radio, TV, Print), central
recruiter, physician referral, outreach efforts, etc)
D. Maintenance of Site tracking log in order to provide statistics on numbers of enrolled, screen failed, early
discontinuation, and active subjects, and scheduled screening visits for all studies
E. Complete records for and Track referrals from central recruitment campaigns as required by sponsor
F. Submit weekly reports to Dr. Kunovac, Yurie Dean, Andreja Vlajankov-Salaj regarding analysis of total number of subject visits (screened, randomized, ISV, etc ? as obtained from Study Coordinators)
5) Ensuring recruitment of high-quality subjects in accordance with provided timelines and expectations
6) Demonstrating knowledge of protocols including Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria, length of trial, number of visits, type of study, and all pertinent information necessary to appropriately educate and screen prospective subjects
7) Establishing and maintaining a working relationship with subjects currently participating in a clinical trial at the site and Potential subjects for upcoming clinical trials, including:
A. Making Appointment reminder calls
B. Communicating to the subject instructions regarding preparation for their scheduled study visits (i.e. fasting, bring
study meds to appt, dosing, etc)
C. Continuing contact with current/future subjects
8) Establish and maintain a working relationship with the site?s Clinical Research Coordinators Regarding Recruitment & potential subjects, Upcoming advertising campaigns at site level and from central recruitment, and Enrollment
9) Various Duties, Tasks and Projects as assigned on an individual basis
Education
High School degree or equilivant
Requirements
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, staff, and patients.
- Proficient in various software programs (including database management, presentation packages, spreadsheets [e.g. Excel], and advanced word processing).
- Highly detailed and organized.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Able to function effectively in a team setting
- Needs to demonstrate consistent professional conduct and attention to detail
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret study protocols for recruitment purposes
- Travel within the greater Las Vegas for outreach events may be necessary upon request.
