  • Job Summary** The Nutrition Program Lead serves as The Idaho Foodbank\'s statewide subject matter expert for nutrition education, nutrition standards, and nutrition-related services. Working closely with the Director of Health & Nutrition, this role develops and maintains nutrition curriculum, educational resources, standard operating procedures, and training to support consistent, high-quality nutrition programming across all regions. The Nutrition Program Lead provides technical guidance and program support to staff, volunteers, and community partners while promoting continuous improvement, quality assurance, and consistent implementation of nutrition programs and standards. This position collaborates closely with the regional Community Health & Nutrition Coordinators to support integrated programming and advance departmental goals. Duties and responsibilities may evolve to meet current and future organizational needs. **Principle Duties and Responsibilities** **Nutrition Program Coordination & Support** Serve as the primary internal resource and subject matter expert for nutrition education programming, nutrition standards, and nutrition-related services. Develop, maintain, and update nutrition curricula, recipes, newsletters, toolkits, and program resources to support consistent statewide implementation. Provide training, technical assistance, and instructional coaching to Community Health & Nutrition Coordinators, volunteers, and community partners on program delivery to strengthen nutrition education and participant engagement. Support the implementation and continuous improvement of nutrition education programs and initiatives. Ensure nutrition programming is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and accessible to diverse communities, including appropriate adaptations for language, literacy, and cultural food practices. Support volunteer and community partner engagement by providing nutrition-related training, guidance, and resources. Promote consistent use of nutrition resources, including the Nutrition Toolkit, pantry assessment tools, outreach materials, and educational curricula. **Nutrition Framework & Standards** Maintain and support implementation of The Idaho Foodbank\'s nutrition framework and food categorization standards. Assess and categorize food products according to established nutrition standards to support organizational nutrition goals. Collaborate with sourcing, inventory, operations, and program teams to integrate nutrition standards into food acquisition and distribution processes. Lead menu planning, recipe review, and nutrition analysis for specialized nutrition-focused programs, including School Backpack and other targeted initiatives. Stay informed on current nutrition science, food assistance trends, and best practices and recommend updates to resources and standards as appropriate. **Program Administration & Quality Improvement** Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, guidance documents, and training materials to support consistent program delivery statewide. Monitor program participation, outcomes, and reporting requirements to support evaluation, compliance, and continuous improvement. Maintain program records, databases, and documentation systems related to nutrition programming. Support collection and management of participant surveys, waivers, and program data in accordance with organizational and funding requirements. I entify opportunities for program enhancement and recommend improvements based on data, participant feedback, and best practices.
