What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker position at The Hungry Gnome Catering & Baked Goods?
The Hungry Gnome is a wholesale and online bakery that provides baked goods to over 300 cafes, restaurants and businesses in the tristate area. We also ship our baked goods online nationwide. We are looking for a hard working, focused and positive Baker to join our team. We are looking for a skilled baker who ideally has some large scale production experience. Job responsibilities include:
-Preparing and following recipes for baked goods such as muffins, cookies, banana breads and more
-Portioning out batters for muffins, banana breads etc.
-Rolling and cutting buttermilk biscuits by hand
-Boxing and properly labeling orders for wholesale orders
-Must have the ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
-Will assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen throughout the shift and doing more deep cleaning at the end of the shift
-Must be a team player
-HOURS- We are looking for two 5am-1pm people and one 6pm-2am person
-Basic Spanish is a plus! We are a bi-lingual kitchen
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
