Job Overview
The Manager - in training role for our restaurant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the establishment runs smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a dynamic leader with a passion for the food industry, exceptional customer service skills, and a strong background in restaurant management. The Manager - in training will assist with daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that our guests receive an outstanding dining experience.
Duties
- Manage aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and service.
- Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Utilize POS systems for efficient cash handling and order processing.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Plan and execute special events and catering services as required.
Skills
- Strong restaurant experience with knowledge of food handling and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in managing quick service & fast food restaurants as well as casual dining experiences.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Experience in supervising staff, conducting interviews, and managing shifts effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to bend and reach overhead often
- Must possess dexterity to handle tongs, pots/pans, and other equipment
- Must be comfortable working in temperatures ranging from hot to cold
- Must be comfortable working near open flames
- May be required to work in tight spaces
- Must maintain near constant communication with multiple people
- Close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision is required
- Must be able to sit, squat and kneel occasionally
- Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- May be required to occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions
