Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items with precision and care.
- Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and payment transactions.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and food safety standards to ensure quality service.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and basic math skills are applied during the checkout process.
- Assist in food preparation and serving as needed while adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Keep the café area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies throughout shifts.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and communication.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or relevant experience in the food industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures is essential.
- A passion for coffee and an eagerness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods.
