Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Layout Editor based in Troy, NY. The Layout Editor will be responsible for designing and organizing the layout of the newspaper, ensuring cohesive and visually engaging presentation. Responsibilities include layout design, pagination, and creating page layouts to align with the overall aesthetic and standards of the publication. The Layout Editor will also collaborate with writers and editors to develop visually appealing content for publications.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Layout Design and experience in crafting effective and cohesive page layouts
- Expertise in Pagination and Page Layout to ensure efficient and error-free design
- Strong Writing skills to collaborate with editors and contribute to content where needed
- Prior experience or familiarity with Publications, preferably within a journalism or media environment
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a creative and fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with design software (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop) is a plus
