Responsibilities
- Member Experience & Service: Champion exceptional Member service, setting a strong example for the team. Be the gold standard for friendly, passionate Guest service, not only satisfying requests but also proactively anticipating Member and Team needs.
- Feedback & Retention: Actively solicit and welcome Member feedback, developing and implementing appropriate action plans. Monitor and analyze membership cancellation trends to inform retention strategies.
- Marketing & Communication: Drive local marketing, lead generation, and prompt follow-up on Member inquiries.
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive fitness programs tailored to diverse member needs, including group fitness classes and personal training sessions
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of fitness instructors and personal trainers to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards of professionalism
- Coordinate scheduling, training, and ongoing education for staff to ensure up-to-date knowledge of physiology, body mechanics, anatomy, and sports coaching techniques
- Monitor program effectiveness through member feedback and performance metrics; adjust offerings to maximize engagement and results
- Promote a safe environment by enforcing proper gym protocols, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring adherence to health regulations
- Foster strong relationships with members by providing personalized guidance on fitness goals and progress tracking
- Collaborate with other departments to organize special events, workshops, or wellness initiatives that enhance member experience
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching group fitness classes and personal training with a strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing a health club or gym environment; experience in program design is essential
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of individuals
- Knowledge of sports coaching principles and experience in developing tailored training plans for various fitness levels
- Certifications in group fitness instruction or personal training from recognized organizations are highly desirable
- Solid understanding of health club operations, safety standards, and customer service excellence
- Ability to stay current with industry trends related to physiology knowledge, anatomy updates, and innovative fitness techniques
