Route Analyst

The HT Group is partnering with a local environmental services company to hire a Route Analyst. In this role, you will design, evaluate, and refine commercial, residential, and site service routes to ensure peak efficiency and profitability. We are looking for an analytical individual with a background in logistics/transportation planning and/or GIS mapping. 
 
South Austin (On-site) | Direct Hire | Comp $20-25/hr
 
Key Responsibilities

• Review existing service routes and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
• Analyze route performance and profitability using company routing software and driver feedback.
• Maintain and update route files; track daily route performance and efficiencies.
• Sequence and optimize routes based on data gathered from drivers, routing software, and on-site audits.
• Pull and interpret historical data from AS400 or SQL-based databases to prepare reports that inform sales and operational decisions.
• Conduct detailed route analyses using mapping tools, routing software, and field audits.
• Be available to work varied shifts as operational needs require.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Background in GIS mapping or spatial analysis preferred.
• Previous experience in logistics/transportation planning preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Quick to learn and proficient in routing software.
• Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Effective collaborator with sound judgment and discretion.
• Valid Class C driver’s license.
• Clean driving record over the past three years, with no serious accidents or major violations.
