Our client, Adler Institute for Advanced Imaging, is hiring a full-time Medical Receptionist / Scheduler for the Jenkintown, PA location.
F/T medical receptionist/scheduler is needed for a small outpatient radiology office in Jenkintown, PA. Monday through Friday (8 AM to 4 PM) in the office. The schedule will vary for vacation coverage and other similar types of office coverage.
Responsibilities include scheduling, checking insurance eligibility and benefits, welcoming & checking-in patients, collecting copays and deductibles, creating & maintaining medical records, database entry, answering phones, reviewing incoming mail and distributing to appropriate persons, scanning invoices into database, responding to messages, managing faxes, copy & scanning documents, answering questions and describing procedures in a calm yet informative manner, helping to create & finalize reports, sending reports as directed (some overtime from home available). Knowledgeable about various insurance companies and their guidelines for approval, and experience in obtaining radiology pre-certifications is preferred. Experience writing insurance appeals is a plus.
Associate’s degree required or equivalent certification/experience. 5 years of medical office experience. Experience with eCW is strongly preferred. Computer proficiency required, especially with Microsoft Office. Good verbal and written communication skills required.
