What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend MC for Events in the Greater Everett/Puget Sound Area position at The Howard Group, Inc.?
Location: Greater Everett, Lynnwood, Seattle, and the Puget Sound Area
Schedule: Weekends during July and August (Part Time)
I am looking for individuals to join my team who can create interactive experiences and improvise. Our best MCs tend to be people with public speaking, radio, sales, or live-performance backgrounds because so much of the job involves reading a room, controlling energy, thinking on your feet, and interacting naturally with audiences in real time.
Like leading a team, presenting to clients, and improvisation acting, MC work requires presence, timing, confidence, and the ability to connect with an audience in real time. Our MCs will make announcements, introduce key moments, and keep guests engaged throughout the event. They will work alongside an audio technician to coordinate music, transitions, and timing.
It’s the same job that Paul Rudd had when he performed as a mitzvah MC and similar to the one Golden Globe winner Idris Elba had when he was a wedding DJ long before his career took off.
