LEAD THERAPIST

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Therapist plays a pivotal role in the clinical and operational success of The House Project. This position is responsible for supporting staff development through hands-on training, ensuring service quality, and maintaining organizational systems that allow the therapy team to perform at the highest standard. Lead Therapists are embedded practitioners who model excellence in ABA therapy while providing direct oversight and mentorship to assigned therapists.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff Training & Development

• Train new and existing therapy staff on ABA principles, client-specific protocols, and organizational standards
• Conduct competency assessments and document staff progress toward required benchmarks
• Provide real-time coaching, modeling, and performance feedback during client sessions
• Support onboarding processes for new hires assigned to their team

Schedule Management

• Update and maintain staff and client schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of care
• Coordinate schedule adjustments in response to absences, session changes, or client needs
• Communicate scheduling updates to relevant team members and administration in a timely manner

Competency Tracking & Compliance

• Complete and track staff competency evaluations in accordance with The House Project's training standards
• Ensure all assigned therapists meet required competency benchmarks within established timeframes
• Maintain accurate records of trainings, evaluations, and staff performance documentation

Clinical Support

• Deliver direct ABA therapy services to clients, maintaining a minimum of 27 billable hours per week
• Implement individualized treatment plans with fidelity under the direction of the Behavior Analyst / Clinical Lead
• Collect and accurately record data on client progress and staff performance as required
• Communicate client concerns, behavioral changes, or program needs to the clinical team promptly

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

Billable Hours

Minimum 30 billable hours per week required to maintain Lead Therapist classification with guaranteed hours even with cancellations 
Non-Billable Tasks

$25.00 per task — applies to training delivery, competency evaluations, schedule updates, and other assigned administrative duties

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current or prior experience as a therapist at The House Project in good standing
• Demonstrated ability to implement ABA programs with high fidelity
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to provide constructive feedback
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across caseload and supervisory duties

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

• Maintain a minimum of 30 billable direct service hours per week
• Complete all assigned training and competency tasks within communicated deadlines
• Respond to scheduling needs and staff questions in a timely and professional manner
• Uphold documentation standards and submit records on time
• Represent The House Project's values in all client, family, and staff interactions
