Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their food orders accurately.
- Prepare and assemble bagels with variety of cream cheese and other menu items efficiently, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively to assist with food preparation tasks.
- Manage cash register operations, process cash and card transactions, and handle cash handling duties responsibly.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation standards, including food handling and sanitation protocols.
- Ensure all retail sales transactions are completed accurately while providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bagel shop setting, food service, quick service, or fast-food restaurants is highly preferred..
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow food safety guidelines diligently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience in retail sales transactions, cashiering, or grocery store operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
