Front Desk Night Audit

The Hotel Y a Dazzler Select by Wyndham is looking for a dynamic employee to work part-time as a floater between the front desk swing shift (3pm to 11pm) and night audit shift (11 pm to 7 am) to keep the operations flowing smoothly at the desk.

We are seeking an independent self-motivated individual that can be reliable and dependable to report to work on time and stay on task with little supervision after the training period. Prior experience working at a hotel front desk is preferred but not required. Night audit experience also is a plus, but not required. This individual will be a part of the team filling in hours between our swing shift and our night audit shifts working on our Wyndham computer systems, running the end of the day reports, answering phone calls, checking guests in or out as needed and fulfilling in-house guest requests. We are looking for a forward-thinking individual that likes to problem solve and that can handle working part time on a flexible schedule (some weekends and holidays will be required). This individual must be comfortable working alone at night and must be an individual who enjoys being awake when others sleep. This role does require you to be awake and alert during your entire shift.

Position Responsibilities

• Self-Disciplined and task oriented
• Comfortable working overnight shifts independently
• Excellent communicator and problem solver
• Checking guests in and out of the hotel
• Answering phone calls from external and internal guests
• Running end of day reports and sending them to appropriate team members
• Responding to guest needs and requests
• Communicating with other team members
• Knowing and understanding hotel emergency procedures
• Maintaining a professional and upbeat attitude as the first and last impression of our hotel guests

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma
• 1 years of hotel (front desk or night audit experience is a plus but not required)
• Working knowledge of customer service etiquette
• Maintain a culture of transparency, integrity, and honesty at all times
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable with answering phones, face front work with hotel guests, making eye contact and learning computer systems
• Reliable transportation is required as well as disciplined and dedicated work ethic to work the expected schedules and pre-plan for time off by requesting the time according to our hotel standards
