Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and care.
- Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Handle cash transactions confidently, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently met by following proper food handling and sanitation protocols.
- Manage time effectively during busy morning hours to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support the overall café operation.
- Engage with customers to promote sales of our products and foster a welcoming environment.
- Follow all health regulations related to food safety and food industry best practices.
- Support team members as needed during shift transitions to ensure smooth operations.
Skills
- Proven barista experience with a strong understanding of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates a positive guest experience.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy morning shifts.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a café or food service environment.
- Experience in serving or food preparation within the food industry is highly valued.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
