Trestle Studio proudly launched The Hotel Chalet, a new boutique lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Downtown Chattanooga at The Chattanooga Choo Choo, and is building a motivated team who are enthusiastic about creating a unique space where culture, elevated service standards, and authentic hospitality are paramount.
The property, formerly operated as The Choo Choo Hotel, features 127 guest rooms, including 25 within restored vintage train carriages, an original bar and restaurant concept, Elsie’s Daughter, with parlor, patio, and courtyard service, a 3,000SF ballroom, plus meeting space, outdoor venue space, a fitness center, and an alpine pool. With an emphasis on the rich history of the hotel and surrounding area, and the boundless opportunity for adventure in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, The Hotel Chalet welcomes travelers who seek adventure, timeless style, and intrinsic comfort.
The Banquet & Event Coordinator will support all event coordination efforts for the various meeting and banquet spaces within The Hotel Chalet, and ensure that all service standards are executed. The individual will work closely with the Senior Sales & Events Manager, Executive Chef, Leadership Team, Operating team, and other disciplines to ensure that an elevated experience is delivered to all guests of the hotel.
The Event Coordinator is a seasoned hospitality professional with outstanding skills in managing events and exceptional experience in guest relations. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights when required and appropriate.
BANQUET & EVENT COORDINATOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Manages events email inbox and other channels for incoming inquiries and RFPs, responding within 24-48 hours maximum to all correspondence
● Hosts prospective guests for tours, dining experiences, and tastings
● Preparation and distribution of Banquet and Event Orders
● Coordinates all aspects of meeting and events, including food and beverage service, A/V set-up, room and table set-up/floorplans
● Maintains communication with guests/clients, vendors, event planners, and internal departments of the hotel to ensure smooth operations and successful events
● Works with internal kitchen, FOH, and events teams to ensure that the venues are properly equipped for upcoming events; places orders as needed
● Supports and implements standards of service and culture as established by The Hotel Chalet
● Ensuring immaculate customer service
● Ensure that communication is open, concise, constructive, and timely.
● Over-seeing receiving of deliveries for event materials needed.
● Ensures menus are up-to-date and correct.
● Actively participates as a member of the team, attending required meetings, etc.
● Ensure maximum revenue is achieved from all sales opportunities.
