The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life.
The Utility Aide performs a variety of tasks and is responsible for maintaining quality, cleanliness and ongoing sanitation of all dish room and food service production areas.
- Washes pots, dishes and equipment. (Labor intensive requiring you to be on your feet up to 6 hours at one time)
- Performs all main dish-room tasks (including cart cleaning, loading/unloading dishwasher, etc.)
- Mop and sanitize all food prep floor areas
- Assist with special cleaning projects
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Wears appropriate shoes and PPE (gloves) in all food service areas to avoid injury.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Additional languages a plus
