The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. In this essential role, the clinical pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmacy services in a dynamic hospital setting, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for all patients. As a key member of the healthcare team, the pharmacist is responsible for verifying medication orders, offering clinical guidance, and supporting optimal pharmacotherapy through collaboration with providers, nurses, and other care team members.
The pharmacist will provide care across a variety of clinical settings, including but not limited to critical care, emergency medicine, neonatology, and general medicine. This role also supports the daily operational activities of the pharmacy department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
- Pharm.D. preferred
Minimum Requirements
- Current CT Pharmacist license
- Previous hospital or long term care experience highly preferred
- Excellent customer service and communications skills
