We have a total of 206 licensed acute beds and are one of the largest providers of acute inpatient services in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
The Horsham Clinic also offers partial hospitalization services for children, teens, and adults at our main campus in Ambler, and at our Chester County and Delaware County partial programs. Summary
The Substitute Teacher will provide age and developmentally appropriate educational instruction in manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of The Horsham Clinic. The Teacher is responsible for following the existing curriculum set forth by organizational guidelines and is responsible to assess, develop and implement an education plan based on the patient's learning needs. The teacher will also be a liaison with the patient's home district and is an integral member of the treatment team in developing the continuing care plan with regards to educational services post discharge. The
Requirements:
- 2-3 years experience working in Psychiatric Mental Health setting
- Bachelors Degree in Education required (Masters Degree preferred)
- PA Elementary or Secondary Education Certification.
- Experience and knowledge in child/adolescent development; emotional/behavioral disorders in young people, classroom management; PA core curriculum standards.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of behavioral mental health, classroom management, and positive reinforcement
- Comfortability working with patient population encompassing K-12 ages groups.
- Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
