Hopyard Brewery is an exciting new craft brewery experiencing strong early growth and community engagement. As we expand our offerings, we're launching a house-made food program centered around authentic Neapolitan-style pizza, fresh baked pretzels, and house-made chili.
We're looking for a motivated Pizza Chef / Kitchen Team Member who is passionate about quality food and wants to help build something special from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas using our Stefano Ferrara wood-fired pizza oven
- Stretch, top, and bake pizzas to consistent quality standards
- Assist with dough preparation and ingredient prep
- Make pizza sauces and other house-made recipes
- Prepare and cook our brewery's signature chili
- Assist with baking soft pretzels and other menu items
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and inventory levels
- Follow food safety and sanitation regulations
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality
Qualifications
- Previous pizza-making or kitchen experience preferred (wood-fired pizza experience a plus)
- Passion for food and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Food safety knowledge preferred
Schedule
- Part-time / full time position
- Thursday through Sunday
- Day, evening, and weekend availability required
