About the Role

As a Behavior Consultant (Behavior Specialist – LBS) at our Mars campus, you'll provide individualized behavioral assessment, intervention, and consultation services that help students develop meaningful skills and achieve greater success in the classroom.

Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, administrators, families, and other professionals, you'll develop and implement evidence-based behavior supports while helping staff confidently carry out interventions with consistency and fidelity.

Core Responsibilities

Conduct Behavioral Assessment & Programming

Conduct behavioral assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and VB-MAPP evaluations, to identify student strengths and areas of need. Develop individualized ABA programming and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) based on assessment results and student goals.

Implement Evidence-Based Behavior Supports

Monitor and adjust behavior programming using ongoing data analysis to ensure interventions remain effective and aligned with student progress. Support implementation of individualized behavioral strategies across educational settings.

Collaborate with Teams & Families

Partner with teachers, therapists, administrators, support staff, and families to promote consistency across environments and ensure behavior supports are effectively implemented to maximize student success.

Support Staff Through Coaching & Training

Provide feedback, modeling, and training to classroom staff on behavior intervention strategies, PBSP implementation, and ABA programming to maintain treatment fidelity and promote positive student outcomes.

Maintain Documentation & Compliance

Collect, graph, and analyze behavioral data while maintaining accurate documentation related to IEP goals, behavioral programming, student progress, and regulatory requirements.

Participate in Ongoing Professional Development

Stay current with best practices and emerging research in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), positive behavior supports, and educational programming to continually enhance clinical services.

What You Bring

Required Credentials & Experience

  • Master's degree required

  • Behavior Specialist License (BSL) required

  • Experience developing and implementing ABA programming and Positive Behavior Support Plans

  • Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and behavioral evaluations

  • Experience using assessment tools such as VB-MAPP

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental delays or disabilities

  • Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • BCBA certification preferred

  • Experience in a school-based setting preferred

Required Clearances

  • Act 33 – PA Child Abuse History Clearance

  • Act 34 – PA State Criminal History Clearance

  • Act 114 – FBI Clearance (Department of Education)

  • Act 126 – Mandated Reporter Training

  • Act 168 – Previous Employer Disclosure

  • State License of Practice and/or Certification

  • CPR/First Aid Certification

  • TB Test & Physical
