Job Summary
The Homestead is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Dietary Aide to support our dining services and ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, welcoming, and respectful environment. This role plays an essential part in enhancing the daily dining experience for our residents while maintaining high standards of sanitation and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and meal service according to established menus and dietary guidelines
- Serve meals to residents in a courteous and professional manner
- Set up and break down dining areas before and after meals
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and maintain cleanliness in all food service areas
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
- Assist kitchen staff with food storage, labeling, and inventory as needed
- Support special dietary needs and modifications as directed
- Work collaboratively with culinary and care teams to ensure resident satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, healthcare, or senior living preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light to moderate physical tasks
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
