Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our culinary team at The Homestead in Glen Arbor, Michigan. As a cook, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our kitchen, supporting the Sous Chef in maintaining high standards of food preparation, presentation, and ensuring the seamless execution of food services.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the Sous Chef in food preparation, cooking and presentation.

· Operate and manage the flattop grill and deep fryers efficiently.

· Cook menu items (burgers, sandwiches, fried foods, salads, appetizers, etc) to strict specifications.

· Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standard, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.

· Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including sanitation standards, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness.

Qualifications

· Proven experience as a flattop cook or in a similar kitchen role.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen safety, and sanitation standards.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

· Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
