Job Overview
Homestead Montessori School is seeking a warm, reliable, and flexible individual to join our Glen Spey campus team as a combined Office Support and Teaching Assistant. Hours
8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday of the school's academic calendar plus 2-3 additional weeks during the summer. There is the opportunity to work year round, supporting summer programming and office tasks.

Office Responsibilities Include:
- Welcoming families and guiding children safely to their classrooms
- Answering phone calls and assisting with parent inquiries
- Signing children in and out, ensuring accurate daily records
- Providing general office and administrative support such as attendance tracking, data entry, filing student records, and preparing instructional materials to keep the school running smoothly
Teaching & Student Support Responsibilities Include:
- Serving as a substitute teacher in classrooms ranging from Pre-K through 6th grade
- Supporting teachers during planning periods
- Assisting with playground and transition supervision
- Offering general support across our beautiful, multi-building Montessori campus
- Support students with their academic tasks, including reading, writing, and other educational exercises
- Monitor student behavior and promote positive interactions among peers to maintain a respectful classroom environment
- Assist with technology setup and troubleshooting for educational tools such as computers or tablets
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom space to foster a safe and inviting environment
- Collaborate with staff on special projects or events that enhance the educational experience for students
Personal Skills

Education and Experience
- Minimum 2 years in an educational or childcare setting, preferable PreK-6th Grade
- Experience with office management tools such as Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), and basic computer literacy
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems or front desk responsibilities
- A background in customer service or customer support preferred
- Montessori certification or experience, Child Development Associate credential (CDA) and/or a degree in education or a related field is preferred
