Responsibilities
We are looking for a Front Desk Receptionist who is professional, has an optimistic demeanor, communicates well and is friendly and energetic.
- Answers telephone and directs caller to correct station and takes messages when necessary | Answers questions of callers according to nursing home policy or direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Meets and greets all visitors to the facility and instructs them to sign in
- Provides information to improve customer service
- Serves as role model to foster superb customer service
- Completes clerical work for Administrative and Facility Personnel | Opens, delivers, and forwards mail | Scans and files necessary documents
- Other office duties and responsibilities may change or evolve at any time with or without notice
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Education
- Required | High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience | Skills | Knowledge
Required
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations
- Interact considerately with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and the general public
- Knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures and guidelines
- Optimistic demeanor and work harmoniously with other personnel
- Seek out new methods and principles | Willing to incorporate them into existing practices
- Adept at word processing, email and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Office or equivalent)
Preferred
- One year working in a nursing home environment
- Up to one year experience in a clerical position or successfully completed a secretarial science program from an accredited school/college
