What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Christmas Light Installer position at The Home Team Pro Wash?
Seasonal Christmas Light Installer
The Home Team Pro Wash – West County St. Louis, MO
Seasonal Position | October–January
The Home Team Pro Wash is looking for dependable, hard-working individuals to join our team as Seasonal Christmas Light Installers for the 2026 holiday season.
This is a hands-on outdoor position installing professional Christmas light displays on residential and commercial properties throughout the St. Louis area. If you enjoy working outside, aren't afraid of heights, and like seeing the results of your work at the end of the day, this could be a great seasonal opportunity.
Compensation
This position uses a combination of production-based commission and hourly pay.
For Christmas light installations, installers are paid based on the value of the work their crew completes. This means efficient crews have the opportunity to earn significantly more than they would under a traditional hourly pay structure.
Non-installation work is paid hourly. This includes tasks such as training, shop/warehouse work, loading and organizing materials, certain travel time, light removals, and other non-production work as assigned.
Our goal is simple: reward people who work safely, efficiently, and produce great work.
Full compensation details, commission percentages, and hourly rates will be discussed during the interview process.

- Install professional Christmas lights on homes and commercial properties
- Install C9 roofline lighting, wreaths, garland, mini lights, tree wraps, and other holiday décor
- Safely work from extension ladders, step ladders, and roofs
- Measure, cut, clip, and install custom lighting displays
- Run extension cords and make clean, professional electrical connections

- Troubleshoot and repair lighting when necessary

- Work efficiently as part of a two-person installation crew
- Help remove and organize Christmas lights following the holiday season
What We're Looking For
Previous Christmas light installation experience is not required. We can train the right person.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working outdoors in cold weather
- Comfortable working on ladders and roofs
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying ladders and equipment
- Able to follow instructions and work safely
- Detail-oriented
- Motivated by production-based compensation
- Willing to work hard during a busy seasonal schedule
- Professional and respectful around customers and their property
- Able to work well as part of a small crew
Experience with roofing, gutters, construction, landscaping, pressure washing, window cleaning, painting, or other outdoor trades is a plus.
Schedule
This is a seasonal position primarily running from October through December, with potential work into January for Christmas light removal.
Hours will vary depending on workload and weather. During peak Christmas light season, there may be opportunities for significant hours, including longer days and occasional weekend work.
Because this work is weather-dependent, applicants should be comfortable with some schedule flexibility.

- Ability to safely lift approximately 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outside for extended periods
- Dependable attendance
