Key People (KP) support the Events operations in several ways. The top priority of key people is running food. They will also be circulating the dining room and assisting with bussing, cleanliness, table resets and all details. KPs are responsible for positive guest interactions by interacting with everyone in a friendly and inviting manner.
Responsibilities
- Arrives at Event on time and in proper uniform.
- Reviews Event set up and understands layout
- Prepare for service according to company procedures including product requisition, and event supplies necessary for event execution.
- Works prior to event with BEO Diagrams for complete setup of events when needed
- Assemble back station with items needed for service, polished, China, glass, and flatware.
- Set up coffee service as needed.
- Practices proper table maintenance throughout the event. Refills beverages when needed.
- Assist event servers as needed, including pre-bussing tables and stocking bars.
- Maintains all areas clean and organized during the duration of the event
- Always present a positive attitude and professional appearance.
- Properly put away all China, glass, and flatware at end of event.
- Store all banquet items properly and securely, putting all items used back in original order, after event.
- Breakdown the room, clearing all tables, chairs and stations putting all items back in their place.
- Complete event side work and shift paperwork in adherence with property specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complies with all Food and Beverage regulations and liquor laws, including but not limited to checking ID before serving liquor to a member/guest that looks under 30 years of age, etc.
- Works directly with banquet lead on shift.
- Works post- event for final cleaning and organization of all items used, maintaining accurate inventory, linen, silverware, tables, chafing dishes, glassware etc.
- Will be assigned for detail cleaning and organizing, periodically of all storerooms used by banquets, refrigerators, kitchen
Qualifications:
- Experience preferred, but not necessary.
- California Food Handlers certified.
- California-approved RBS certified.
- Problem solver: ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Accountability: sets high expectations and achieves them regardless of the barriers.
- Must have the ability to carry large trays and have the ability to organize multiple orders.
- Maintain a high level of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and late hours when necessary.
- Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.
- Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to maintain composure under high-volume and potentially stressful situations.
- Be attentive, accountable, and highly organized and has the ability to plan multiple activities in a timely fashion.
- Must be able to work both collaboratively and independently
Physical Requirements:
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
- Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling/pushing, and stooping.
- Use repetitive motions for up to 8 hours in length.
