Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of deli foods including slicing meats, cheeses, salads, and other specialty items with care.
- Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly, knowledgeable assistance to enhance their shopping experience.
- Operate POS systems, accurate cash handling, etc
- Upsell products by recommending complementary items to boost sales and improve customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area following food safety guidelines.
- Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure all products are properly labeled and rotated for freshness.
- Assist with food handling tasks like wrapping, packaging, and labeling products according to health regulations.
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, demonstrating culinary experience and quick service skills.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.
- Uphold sanitation practices including cleaning work surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly to ensure a safe environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, deli work, or retail grocery environments preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential!
- Familiarity with POS systems a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques is highly valued.
- Experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants demonstrates ability to work efficiently under pressure.

- Basic math skills for cash handling
