Position Overview
The Family Navigator will provide critical support to individuals and families impacted by incarceration, addiction, and generational trauma. This part-time role is dedicated to empowering individuals and families through personalized case management, resource connection, and wraparound support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to individuals and families navigating complex life challenges
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand individual and family needs, strengths, and goals
- Develop personalized action plans with measurable outcomes
- Assist individuals and families in accessing community resources (housing, employment, healthcare, legal support, childcare, education, benefits)
- Maintain detailed and confidential client records
- Collaborate with local agencies, courts, schools, treatment centers, and family support networks
- Facilitate connections between individuals and families and appropriate programs within The Hive
- Provide follow-up support to ensure individuals and families successfully access and utilize resources
- Track client progress and adjust action plans as needed
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of challenges faced by individuals and families impacted by trauma, addiction, and/or incarceration
- Excellent communication, empathy, and active listening skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Proficiency in documentation and case management
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases
- Reliable transportation
- Successful completion of background check
Certification
The Hive will support a qualified applicant to complete Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) training with mentorship and supervision (if applicable)
Job Details
- Hours: 30 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 9am - 3pm)
- Compensation: $25.00 / hour
- Location: Hybrid (mix of in-office and field work)
