Barista and Bartender

Overview

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Barista and Bartender. This dual role combines the art of crafting high-quality coffee beverages with the skill of serving and mixing drinks in a lively café environment. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, managing multiple responsibilities efficiently, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Prior experience in coffee preparation and bartending is preferred, but we welcome motivated applicants eager to learn. Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency
• Mix and serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and customer preferences
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions
• Manage customer orders efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, bar area, and dining spaces in compliance with health regulations
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and café service duties
• Handle cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions
• Engage with customers to create a positive experience that encourages repeat visits

Skills

• Proven experience as a Barista or in coffee industry roles, with knowledge of food service best practices
• Experience with bartending, including drink mixing and alcohol service
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
• Excellent customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for sales, cash handling, and retail math tasks
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Effective communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
