Duties
- Greet guests warmly with enthusiasm and genuine friendliness, creating a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring accurate tracking of guest flow
- Escort guests to their tables promptly, providing menus and answering initial questions about the restaurant offerings
- Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating arrangements and special requests
- Handle guest inquiries politely via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting areas
- Support guest services by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a memorable dining experience
Experience
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in busy environments
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency
- Experience in hotel or guest services can be advantageous, demonstrating adaptability across hospitality settings
