Bar Manager for Patton's Tavern and Zulu Time Rooftop Bar & Lounge at The Thayer Hotel
Description:
The Bar Manager will manage, hire, train and coach bar staff to meet the service quality standards for our guests. This position will also lead as example by exemplifying our standards and ensuring all guest expectations are met and exceeded, by creating an excellent experience and atmosphere. We are looking for an individual who is a skilled leader in addition to a member of the Food & Beverage team.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage employees and maintain day-to-day operations. Performs human resource functions for staff, including scheduling, evaluating, and training staff.
- Manage inventory efficiently, accurately, and in a cost-effective manner.
- Must possess knowledge of food and beverage, wine, liquor and trends within the industry.
- Strong team player – will promote a team environment through an effective management style.
- Will collaborate with other members of F&B leadership to plan and execute promotional events and menus.
- Responsible for working with Banquets Department and having leadership presence in the other outlets on property, to include banquet events.
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree.
- Bartending certification.
- 2 years' experience bartending.
- 1 year experience supervisory role and/or equivalent combination of education and training.
