Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor (Seasonal)
Location: Royal City, Washington
Work Setting: Onsite, either SaturdayTuesday (8:00 AM6:30 PM) or WednesdaySaturday (6:00 PM4:30 AM); overtime eligible
Compensation: $32/hour with overtime paid at 1.5x base rate

Position Overview
Were hiring a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead quality control and food safety operations during the peak cherry harvest season at a high-volume food production facility. This is a key leadership role where your expertise will directly impact product integrity, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness during the most critical time of the year.
Youll oversee QA Technicians, manage real-time inspections, ensure GMP and SQF compliance, and lead team training initiatives, all while working side by side with production and technical leadership. This is a fast-paced, hands-on environment where your attention to detail, leadership presence, and commitment to food safety will be highly visible and deeply valued.

Responsibilities
- Quality and Compliance Oversight: Monitor production for compliance with food safety standards, QA specifications, GMPs, and company policies; perform sampling, testing, audits, CCP checks, and maintain QA logs.
- Document Management and Reporting: Generate and manage QA documentation including bin tags, product labels, audit records, and sampling reports; compile SQF documentation and coordinate with leadership on compliance.
- Training and Leadership: Deliver GMP training, lead document validation sessions, coach QA techs and production employees, and foster a safety-first culture.
- Harvest-Specific Duties: Validate micro testing results, inspect trucks and raw materials, perform pre-op sanitation checks, and manage retain samples for traceability and verification.
Position Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in food production QA, food safety, or compliance
- 3 years of team leadership experience in food or agricultural processing environments
- Strong understanding of GMPs, food safety regulations, and SQF standards
- Clear written and verbal communication in English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to commit to extended shifts and weekend coverage during harvest
- Bilingual English/Spanish and experience with Famous ERP system (preferred)
