Product Manager – Polymers & Filaments
Columbia, SC | Full-Time | $95,000–$105,000
Our client is hiring a Product Manager to lead product planning and marketing for our Polymers & Filaments commercial team. This is a technical, customer-facing role for someone with a background in industrial or manufactured products — not a software or IT product management position.
You will manage products through their full lifecycle, gather and prioritize customer and market requirements, define product vision, and work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to deliver winning product strategies.
What You'll Do
-Identify product gaps and new opportunities that grow market share and improve customer experience
-Coordinate positioning and messaging across the Polymers & Filaments product line
-Build and enhance sales collateral and customer-facing presentations
-Work with cross-functional teams to set up new parts and meet customer requirements
-Translate customer needs into detailed product requirements and prototypes
-Partner with engineering to deliver products with fast time-to-market
-Visit customers directly to gather feedback on products and services
-Support documentation for compliance, environmental, and quality requirements
What You Bring
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Marketing
-Minimum 8 years of experience as a Product Manager, Sales, or Product Marketing Manager for technical industrial products
-Proven track record defining and launching physical/technical products
-Strong written, verbal, and analytical communication skills
-Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
This role is based in Columbia, SC and requires close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams on-site.
Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
