What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Positions position at THE HILLIARD CORPORATION?
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ability to perform the duties of any of the following positions: Shipper/Packer/Receiver; Trucker-Parts Wash Assembler; Burr & Sand, and Storekeeper, and Common Laborer.
SOURCE OF SUPERVISION: Foreman
WORKING PROCEDURE:
1. Reads and interprets instructions pertaining to proper procedures required.
2. To remove burrs, weld spatter, slag and scale from various parts and assemblies, using manual, air tools and/or blast equipment, working under immediate supervision.
3. Operation of Fork Truck throughout facilities.
4. Performs laboring tasks as instructed by foreman to move materials, maintain and clean the plant, equipment and grounds.
5. To sub-assemble, assemble, test and box clutches/sub-assemblies. Pick necessary components and complete necessary paperwork.
6. To remove undesirable material from finished or semi-finished products either by hand, electrically, mechanically, washing or tumbling; works under routine supervision.
7. Receives, ships and examines goods shipped to establishment against bills of lading, invoices and other records, working under routine supervision.
8. To do minor assemblies, move finished parts, and parts in process to proper areas, wash and clean parts in prescribed manner, and operate RotoBurr equipment.
9. Performs all tasks that may be required to perform the primary function of the job assigned.
