The Role at a Glance
Responsible for auditing, verifying, and processing international order billing, ensuring accuracy between quotes and actual costs. Enters data into United and MoverSuite systems, distributes revenue, reconciles receivables, and resolves discrepancies. Maintains regular communication with United Van Lines, agents, and customers.
How You’ll Contribute
The Bill & Revenue Analyst for international orders is responsible for verifying and processing billing information by comparing quotes to actual vendor invoices and entering updated data into the United system. This role includes checking contracts, memos, and special billing instructions to ensure order accuracy, as well as auditing forwarder-rated billing to confirm all charges are correct. The analyst also creates and sends invoices using the MoverSuite system and completes Government Bill of Lading (GBL) forms for government orders as required.
This position involves verifying invoices, sales journals, and receivables lists to ensure accuracy and completeness. The analyst distributes revenue appropriately to drivers, salespersons, United Van Lines, and individual branches while posting amounts to accounts receivable. Regular reconciliation of receivables between Hilldrup and United Van Lines is essential, along with initiating corrective action when discrepancies arise.
Frequent communication with United Van Lines, international forwarders, agents, and customers is required to address and resolve any rating, billing, or distribution issues. The analyst is also responsible for monitoring follow-up systems to confirm receipt of all related billing communications and ensuring that all processes are properly documented.
Qualifications and Skills
Education/Work Experience/Certificates
- Two to Four year college degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of one to two years’ billing experience in an office environment with one to two years’ experience in the moving and storage industry preferred.
