As an Infant and Toddler Teacher with WVIT Certification, you will create a safe, nurturing environment that supports the developmental needs of young children. You will work closely with a lead teacher to provide personalized care and learning opportunities, ensuring each child feels supported and engaged. Your role is essential in fostering positive relationships with families and maintaining a clean, organized classroom.
Responsibilities
- Feed and diaper infants and toddlers with care and attention
- Implement age-appropriate activities to support development
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families and children
- Accurately document daily care and communicate effectively with parents
- Perform classroom cleaning and restock supplies daily
- Plan lessons and prepare the classroom for the following day
- Maintain safety and hygiene standards throughout the classroom
- Close the center until 5:30 pm, ensuring all responsibilities are completed
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in early childhood education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- WVIT Certification
- Knowledge of infant care best practices
- Classroom management skills
- Health and safety compliance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate and dependable work ethic
