General Job Scope
The CDL (Class A) Logistics Truck Driver (Tractor & Straight Truck & Boom Truck) is responsible for
operating a 48’ tractor-trailer truck and a 22’ straight truck that transports fabricated ductwork, pipe,
construction materials, tools, and HVAC equipment to and from construction sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Actively promote and enforce THG Safety Program, policies and procedures, including the goals
of a Zero Injury Program
• Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods
to ensure timely service.
• Loads, secures and unloads cargo.
• Maintains cellular and email contact with dispatch to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to
receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up.
• Maintains logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations.
• Responsible for light vehicle maintenance, daily inspection, and presentation.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Must display proven ability to operate both tandem axle tractors with 48’ trailers as well as 22’
straight trucks
• In order to operate Knuckle Boom, must display an active NCCCO & City of Chicago Knuckle
Boom Operators license
• Spot Trailers within campus
• Aid in pulling Tool Orders (If required)
• Aid in maintaining a clean & organized warehouse (If required)
• All other duties as assigned
Experience:
• Minimum (5) years CDL experience required
• Knowledge of DOT Rules & Regulations
• Proficiency with cellular & GPS devices

• Must be dependable, organized and self-motivated
• Communication with multiple divisions of the company
• Ability to react to changes, flexibility, while maintaining efficiency
