What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Help position at The Hignell Companies?
Summary:
The Summer Helper will assist in daily property maintenance. Summer helpers do not need prior experience but will require a willingness to learn. The Summer Helper program begins on:
Monday, June 8th through Friday, August 7th. - Position is open to Internal Candidates Only
Essential Functions:
- Reports to the Resident Manager and the Maintenance Technician on-site.
- Regular attendance
- Responsibilities are as follows:
- Maintains grounds in excellent condition, including all common areas, parking lots, mailbox building, pool area, and dumpster areas
- Following task lists according to each property assigned
- Works approximately 20 hours a week, Monday – Friday
Other Functions:
- Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position
Mental and Physical Demands:
- Ability to walk, kneel, climb, stand, stoop, crouch, and reach when performing light maintenance and office activities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Core Competencies/Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation (driver's license preferred). Work permit (if under 18 years old)
- Education, training, skills, and experience necessary to carry out assignments.
- Self-motivated, punctual, detail oriented, and able to work independently.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, physical and background check.
