Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Bar Manager to lead our bar operations with enthusiasm and expertise. Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of bar operations, including food preparation, beverage service, and customer interactions to ensure a vibrant and efficient environment.
- Bartending 3-4 shifts a week manage 1-2 shifts per week. More hourly while bartending.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Oversee the use of POS systems such as Toast POS for accurate cash handling, order processing, and sales tracking.
- Train, develop, and motivate staff through ongoing training sessions on food handling, customer service excellence, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations to maintain a clean, safe environment for both staff and guests.
- Handle shift management by scheduling staff effectively to meet business needs while fostering teamwork and high performance.
- Coordinate with kitchen management on food production, catering orders, banquets, and special events to deliver seamless service experiences.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding hospitality during casual dining, fine dining, or quick service settings.
- Conduct interviewing and hiring processes to build a skilled team aligned with our service standards.
- Manage budgets and control costs related to food & beverage expenses while maximizing revenue opportunities.
Experience
- Proven management experience in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment with supervising responsibilities.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and food safety regulations.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for transaction processing and reporting.
- Strong background in inventory control, cash handling, and food & beverage management within hospitality settings.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in team management, training & development, and staff supervision.
- Experience working in various restaurant formats including casual dining, fine dining, catering or banquet services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with kitchen management processes including food production, catering coordination, and culinary standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to create welcoming atmospheres that encourage repeat business.
