What you’ll do
- Provide attentive and personalized service to ensure an unforgettable dining experience for each guest.
- Take accurate orders and deliver food and beverages with precision, ensuring all dietary restrictions are accommodated.
- Utilize Aloha POS for efficient order processing and payment transactions.
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance the dining experience while maximizing sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, addressing any guest concerns promptly.
- Foster positive guest relations by engaging with patrons, responding to inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Assist in training new staff members on service standards, menu offerings, and restaurant procedures.
Basic qualifications
- Previous fine dining experience or a strong background in the food industry is essential.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently while maintaining high service standards.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create memorable guest interactions.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience in a high volume environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge that enhances your understanding of menu items.
- Cash handling experience with a focus on accuracy in cashiering duties.
- Familiarity with bussing procedures and host/host responsibilities within a restaurant setting.
