Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including counters, equipment, and storage spaces through regular cleaning and sanitizing
- Support food running duties by delivering dishes promptly from the kitchen to dining areas while ensuring presentation quality
- Buss tables and clear dishes efficiently to keep dining areas tidy and ready for new guests
- Handle manual lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure guest safety
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks during inventory or setup activities while adhering to safe lifting practices
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen operations including food preparation, handling, and safety standards
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members
- Ability to perform manual tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safe practices
- Experience in hospitality or hotel settings is advantageous but not required
