The Seasonal Food and Beverage Supervisor at The Hermitage Club supports the Food and Beverage Manager in delivering an exceptional dining experience for members and guests across all club venues. This hands-on supervisory role is responsible for ensuring high standards of service, assisting with daily operations, and fostering a motivated, service-focused team environment. The Supervisor acts as a service leader on the floor, facilitating team performance, addressing guest needs, and ensuring seamless dining and bar operations during a busy seasonal schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service Excellence
- Actively engage with members and guests to ensure a warm and memorable dining experience.
- Monitor service flow throughout dining areas, bars, and lounges, promptly addressing any concerns or special requests.
- Provide hands-on support during peak service, including assisting with seating, table service, bussing, and guest interactions.
- Serve as a point of contact on the floor in the absence of the Food and Beverage Manager.
Team Support and Leadership
- Assist with scheduling, supervising, and supporting front-of-house staff to ensure proper coverage and team efficiency.
- Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate service goals, special events, or menu updates.
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training to help staff develop service skills and maintain professional standards.
- Foster a respectful, collaborative, and accountable team environment.
Operational Oversight
- Ensure the dining areas and bars are properly staged, clean, and in line with club presentation standards before, during, and after service.
- Monitor cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of dining room equipment and supplies.
- Support the Manager with inventory control by monitoring par levels and communicating supply needs.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment by enforcing club safety and health guidelines.
- Support staff in adhering to all food safety and alcohol service regulations.

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in food and beverage service or hospitality supervision preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for guest service.
- Ability to lead and motivate staff in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficient in service standards and basic knowledge of food and beverage operations.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable with the ability to multitask.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak season.
- Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings in a dynamic resort environment.
Salary : $23 - $25
