What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Part Time Day shift & PRN position at The Heritage Home?
QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Must possess and maintain a valid Kansas Certified Nursing Medication Aide License as well as a Certified Nursing Aide License.
- Must pass a background check in accordance with regulations set forth by the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability.
- Must be CPR certified.
- Must comply with continuing education requirements to maintain CMA and CNA licensure and CPR certification.
- Experience in adult care homes is not required but beneficial.
- Experience administering medication is not required but beneficial.
- Acquired knowledge and skills to perform job related duties and responsibilities in accordance with regulations, standards of care and policies and procedures of The Heritage Home.
- Must complete and be deemed competent in specific skills as indicated by the Operator and/or Nursing Supervisor.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- May be exposed to communicable diseases, infectious wastes and hazardous chemicals.
- Work environment may at times be stressful, emotional, mentally and physically demanding and potentially hostile.
- Position requires employees to be on their feet during the majority of the work schedule.
- Moderate physical activity is required throughout the majority of the work schedule.
- Frequently required to walk, stand, bend, maneuver, stoop, squat, kneel, pull and push.
- Requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- In an emergency or potentially dangerous situation, heavy lifting may be required to ensure resident safety.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
