THG is looking for a motivated student involved in the Indiana University Mauer School of Law's Family Office Program (FOP) that has just completed their 1L year. Ideally, this candidate will have work experience (full time or prior internship) in a business or corporate setting. This candidate will be assisting THG's VP, Legal and Paralegal with day-to-day operations including, but not limited to, corporate governance matters, policy and procedure best practices and recommended implementations of the same, and legal support of THG's operating companies. This candidate will share time with THG's Executive Director of the Family Office and have the opportunity to learn and assist on governance needs for the family office. This is an exciting opportunity for a current law student to gain experience working in a family office on both the corporate and family office sides.
Essential Functions
The Heritage Group Internship Program provides hands-on, paid experiences in a corporate function or within one of our many operating companies. Interns can expect to network with other students and professionals, gain useful skills, receive mentoring, and make their own contributions to the organization. Additionally, interns can participate in our weekly hosted events focused on professional development, team building, and community service.
Intern pay is non-negotiable and is calculated based on current academic class standing $18/hour (Freshman) - $21/hour (Senior), etc.

Essential Functions
- Assist THG’s Paralegal with development, organization, & rollout of a corporate governance platform.
- Assist with drafting annual resolutions for various THG companies.
- Assist Executive Director of the Family Office various initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for policy and procedure development and implementation.
- Assist THG’s VP, Legal with the legal compliance and risk management initiatives.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
- Required Bachelor's Degree and completed 1L year at IU Mauer School of Law’s FOP required.
- Preferred 1 years Prior experience in a business / corporate setting preferred.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative thinker and problem-solver.
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- A “go-getter” attitude willing to tackle any situation that may come your way.
- Collaborative and conscientious individual with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Self-motivated and can work under little supervision.
- Team player.
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items and walk short distances.
