What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Care Nurse (Full Time) position at The Heritage Center?
The Heritage Center of Holiday Health Care, a privately owned and operated nursing facility on the north side of Evansville, is seeking a skilled Wound Care Nurse. We are looking for an experienced nurse with a passion for long-term care and a desire to improve the quality of life for our residents. This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule and an on-call rotation every 8th week.
As a Wound Care Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and treating wounds, monitoring for infections, and implementing preventative care plans. Wound care certification is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans
- Monitor and manage wounds, ensuring appropriate care and infection control
- Clean, dress, and treat wounds as part of an effective preventative care regimen
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents
- Provide education to residents and staff on wound care and infection prevention

Qualifications
- RN or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse)
- Wound care certification preferred, but not required
- Proven skills in cleanliness, attention to detail, and proactive care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
