- Perform repairs accurately and efficiently according to the repair order.
- Diagnose vehicle damage and determine necessary repairs.
- Inspect vehicles for additional safety or repair needs and communicate findings to the Estimator or Body Shop Manager.
- Remove, repair, replace, align, and adjust damaged body panels, parts, and accessories using appropriate tools and repair methods.
- Prepare and refinish repaired surfaces, including dent repair, body filler, sanding, and painting as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, tools, equipment, and required documentation while following all applicable safety and environmental regulations.
- Attend required training, stay current on repair procedures and technical updates, and perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Formal training in automotive body repair, plus 1-3 years of relevant technical experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and information.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work cooperatively with all other staff.
- A high level of energy and strong motivation to learn and succeed.
- Solid technical knowledge and skills related to automotive body repair.
- Basic math skills, with some estimating experience desirable.
